Software System Engineering & Support - Chicago

The Software System Engineering & Support is part of the new organization at TRUMPF Chicago. The team is responsible to detail, implement and fully support TruTops Fab and Boost solutions for customers as well as provide first level support for Axoom and Metamation.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Support the analysis of customer situations performed by TruConnect team
Support presentation of solutions to customers
Serve as key contact for customer projects
Implement, update and adjust solutions at customer sites and provide complete training
Support customers with questions and troubleshooting
Develop customized solutions together with central departments and TUS
Simulate solutions on-site in Chicago
Lead customer projects
Minimum of 3 years experience in software environments and minimum 2 years experience with
CAD/CAM programming software for machine tools. Thorough experience in Project Management.
Bachelor degree or higher in computer systems engineering, computer science or related field. Expert knowledge in production management and scheduling software. Understanding of SQL, as well as managing MS SQL Server. Understanding of ERP systems, their architecture, as well as the integration process with the aforementioned software solutions. Detailed knowledge of internal processes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and CNC machine technology. Good presentation and customer communicating skills.
