Marketing and Data Analyst
Location: Fairfax, VA
Edelman Financial Services, one
of the nation’s largest and most well-known financial planning firm, is seeking
a skilled Marketing and Data Analyst
to join our growing Marketing team.
Marketing & Data Analyst will support the reporting and analysis function
for the marketing team by compiling data from various sources to identify
trends and provide actionable insights to promote a data-driven decision making
environment. Responsibilities include designing new reports and maintaining
existing reports to measure campaign performance; performing in-depth and
frequent ad hoc analysis identifying trends and researching variances;
competitive/market tracking and assessment, creating presentation reports
including statistical analysis, and building tools and dashboards providing
valuable information and insights to assist the team assess program spend and
Design new and maintain existing marketing
performance reports and dashboards, including but not limited to seminar
registrations, website traffic, marketing campaign performance, lead follow up,
cost per lead, and conversion reports.
Create presentation reports that present data in
an easy to understand format encompassing statistics, graphs, and other tools
Gather data from contracts, A/P system, Qlik, and
other sources to analyze strategic plan versus the business outcome to provide
insights into optimization of marketing investment.
Perform in depth marketing funnel analysis to
identify opportunities to optimize campaign performance driving growth in lead
conversion and ultimately profitability.
Monitor/track competitive and market trends,
report findings/conclusions, make recommendations when appropriate.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide strategic
input and interpretation of the marketing results.
Act as marketing liaison to IT and the Business
Support the Marketing team on a wide range of
analytics, reporting and ad hoc projects.
Participate in special projects and perform other
duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree required in a quantitative field
(e.g., industrial engineering, math, operations research, or statistics)
MS – Industrial Engineering, Operations Research,
Math or Statistics preferred
2+ years’ analytics experience in a marketing
Experience with report development and automation
Experience presenting results in a graph/chart
that is clear and concise
Expert Excel skills (i.e. formulas, PivotTables,
data analysis, charts/graphs), excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and an
understanding of SQL and relational databases
Ability to identify and report KPI metrics related
to lead/client growth and revenue generation
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem
solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, synthesize and
disseminate large amounts of information
Applied knowledge of statistics and experience
using statistical packages for analyzing large data sets
Strong attention to detail ensuring all department
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
with quickly changing priorities
Ability to successfully work in a team environment
Strong business judgment and intellectual
